SOLID STATE-CARBON TECHNOLOGY

We Grow Things From Carbon Pollution

We perceive carbon pollution as abundant low-cost material that can be solidified into any shape through a process that resembles growing, replacing traditional construction and 3D printing.

A 2500-meter bioskyscraper grown with our patented Solid-State Carbon biotech could capture all the world’s carbon emissions while also producing enough raw biomaterials to further develop housing for 6.5 million people annually.

The Problem

Cities produce 70% of global carbon emissions and lack practical and sustainable methods for urban carbon capture, utilization and storage.

Most urban carbon emissions come from construction and concrete production accounting for 39% of all global carbon emissions.

The resulting climate change can cause billions of dollars of damages to urban infrastructure in a single day due to extreme weather, as in the case of recent flash flooding in Toronto in July 2024.

The Innovation

Our patented Solid-State Carbon (SSC) biotech transforms atmospheric carbon pollution into a stone-like material through a growth-like process, enabling rapid creation of urban structures directly from carbon emissions.

The Solution

We use carbon pollution as low-cost material to rapidly grow useful urban structures which store and actively capture carbon post-completion, while also pioneering growth as a new way of fabricating things.

Our biotech tackles two related global problems – climate change and the housing crisis.

Our Mission

Capture and use 1000 tons of Toronto’s carbon pollution to grow housing and public art in 2025.

Scale our biotech to capture all global emissions by 2040.
